Say Hello to our Newest Supplier - Mrs. Fields Cookies, Brownies & Treats :-)

Thursday, June 20 marks the official start to summer 2024, which leaves a precious few weeks to work out and restrict calories to get back to comfortably donning a swimsuit.  If you've achieved your goals, we congratulate you, and let’s celebrate with some cookies! And if not (I find myself in this category currently), perhaps a brief break of indulgence will help get you back motivated...

With that, we'd like to introduce you to our newest supplier - Mrs. Fields.  If you are a child (or fan, such as scenes in season five of Stranger Things) of the 1980s, you might be familiar with the Mrs. Fields cookie stores at your local (indoor) shopping mall.  The iconic sweets brand was founded by Debbi Fields (Instagram handle @butterisbest) in 1977 in Palo Alto, CA, and a recent article in Eater, described the mall cookies as soft, gooey, and straight-out-of-the oven fresh.

Nostalgically, it’s been a minute since Mrs. Fields’ heyday at the shopping mall, but in this new Amazon age, the company has been successfully shipping its cookies, cakes, brownies, and related cooked treats via the web.  We’re very proud to be a beneficiary of this trend, and over the weekend rolled out some products they helped us hand-select for our loyal customer base.  Though not directly from the oven, all treats come package sealed, and they also thought we should pass along this tip:

  • Thawed cookies and brownies can be warmed in the microwave for 10-15 seconds or in a 375-degree oven for up to 2 minutes.
  • Frozen cookies and brownies can be warmed in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or in a 375-degree oven for up to 3 minutes.

With that, please welcome Mrs. Fields as our newest supplier at Boutique Gift Baskets.  Enjoy!
